Green quartz is a macrocrystalline variety of mineral quartz and is rare in nature. Most of the resources come from a small mine in Brazil, with small deposits in Poland and Canada.

Due to its hardness, green quartz works well in jewellery. Various properties are attributed to these stones. They are believed to be related to the heart chakra and evoke love, empathy and compassion. Green quartz is said to help people see the bright side of things, turning negative energy into positive energy.
